Sophomore Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace picked up three top finishes after a very busy weekend in Texas. Against the fifth-ranked Texas on Jan. 7, Vanderpool-Wallace won the 50 free in 23.96 and finished third in the 100 free in 50.08. Against Texas A&M and SMU on Saturday, Vanderpool-Wallace recorded another first-place finish in the 50 free, touching in a season-best time of 23.10. She swam the anchor leg of the 400 free relay that finished first in B time of 3:21.91. Vanderpool-Wallace opened Saturday’s meet as the fly leg of the second-place finishing 200 medley relay (1:41.84). She was also runner-up in the 100 fly (55.02), being just out-touched by teammate Ava Ohlgren.

- Salamone won five diving events the past week, including sweeping the one and three-meter boards against Indian River and LSU
- Dove career-best performances on the three-meter versus IRSC and on the one-meter against LSU
- Both career-bests shattered UF records (previously held by Salamone and set in the 2008-09 season

Female Freshman of the Week

Tennessee freshman Kelsey Floyd collected an NCAA B cut in her third event while winning the 200y free in 1:48.59 in a 175.5-124.5 loss to Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday. The Lexington, Ky., native also finished second in the 200y back (1:57.04) and was part of the runner-up 200y medley (1:40.44) and 400y free (3:22.23) relays. All of her marks were season bests and B cuts.

Male Swimmer of the Week

Competing in his first collegiate meet after having to sit out last year and the first part of the 2009-2010 season, Brown came out blazing this past weekend and put together top performances for the Tigers. Against the top-ranked Texas men, Brown anchored the 400 medley relay that edged out the Longhorns and won the event in a B time of 3:13.44. He picked up his first individual B time of his career with a second-place finish in the 50 free in a time of 19.93, just .03 off from the winner. He also recorded the SEC's second-fastest time in the 100 free of 43.80 as the lead leg in the first-place finishing 400 free relay.  Brown closed out the meet as he swam the leadoff leg of the 400 free relay that took second just .24 off from the first-place Longhorns. Against Texas A&M, Brown recorded four top-finishes for Auburn. He picked up his first win in the 50 free in a season-best time of 19.85, while also winning the 100 fly in B time of 48.23. Brown swam the fly leg of the 200 medley relay squad that won in 1:28.67 and closed out the day as the anchor of the 200 free relay team that won in 1:24.74.

Gemberling set his career-high score on the platform dive at the Georgia Invitational and Shootout with a score of 263.80.  He finished eighth out of 25 in the event.  Against Florida on Sunday, Gemberling claimed the one and three-meter titles with scores of 318.45 and 367.88, respectively.
