NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Georgia leads after Session One of the 2016 SEC Gymnastics Championship with a team score of 196.850. The Bulldogs were led by senior Brandie Jay who scored team highs on vault and beam.
Arkansas finished second in the session with a team score of 196.500. Samantha Nelson earned a 9.900 on beam to walk away with a share of the Session One beam title.
Session One rounded out with Kentucky earning a 196.250 and Missouri finishing with 195.750.
Georgia's Jay was the All-Around leader in Session One with Kentucky's Sidney Dukes and Missouri's Morgan Porter finishing second and third respectively.
Team scores for Arkansas, Kentucky and Missouri are SEC Championship highs for each team. On the uneven bars, Georgia's Rachel Schick finished first with a score of 9.900. On the beam, Samantha Nelson (Arkansas), Sidney Dukes (Kentucky) and Alex Hyland (Kentucky) all tied for first with a 9.900. On the floor, Bulldog Mary Beth Box finished on top with a score of 9.925.
Session Two continues at 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network as Florida, LSU, Alabama and Auburn compete for the 2016 SEC Championship title.
