Trace Adkins to sing anthem at SEC Championship

Birmingham, Ala. - One of country music's most identifiable stars, Trace Adkins will take center court to sing the national anthem prior to the championship game of the 2017 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

A three-time GRAMMY Award nominee, Adkins has won three Academy of Country Music Awards, including the 2009 Single of the Year Award for "You're Gonna Miss This." He has sold more than 11 million albums and charted more than 20 singles in his 25 years in Nashville. He is preparing to release his 12th studio album, Something's Going On, on March 31 on BBR Music Group / Wheelhouse Records.

The Springhill, La., native is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and also is an accomplished actor with roles in films and television, author and spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Project and The American Red Cross. In recent years, Adkins has performed for service members across 11 USO Tours, with his 12th scheduled for this spring.

Adkins joins Nashville legends The Oak Ridge Boys, Lorrie Morgan, Diamond Rio and Josh Turner as some of the most recent anthem singers for the SEC Tournament championship game.
