SEC Volleyball Week 3 Player of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Pilar Victoria • Arkansas

Victoria continued her strong start to the season with 6.00 kills per set and 3.19 digs per set, good for four double-double performances in four matches last week. She was named the MVP of the UCSB Thunderdome Classic with the help of a 29-kill outing against No. 19 USC and a 32-kill effort against host UCSB. In the weekend finale, Victoria registered 32 kills on a .379 hitting percentage. Through 10 matches this season, she leads the SEC and NCAA with 6.43 kills per set while hitting .348 as a pin attacker.

Defensive Player of the Week
Quincey Gary • Alabama
Junior • L • 5-10 • Alexandria, Ind.

Gary was named to the Hampton Inn Bama Bash All-Tournament Team as she led the team in digs in all three matches, finishing with 57 (5.70/set). She had a weekend-best 23 digs against Hofstra. Gary has now surpassed 20 digs in three of her last six matches. She had at least one ace in each match this weekend, including two against Hofstra. It was her third match of the year with multiple service aces.

Setter of the Week
Madison Lilley • Kentucky
Freshman • 5-11 • Overland Park, Kan.

Lilley averaged 14.4 assists per set as No. 13 Kentucky went 2-0 on the week. Against Loyola-Chicago, she recorded 36 assists as she helped the Cats hit a .548 attacking clip, a Kentucky record for highest in a match. Lilley then posted 65 helpers in the four-set win at Marquette as Kentucky put up 81 kills, which shattered the four-set record of 69 set last year, and a .451 hitting percentage against the Golden Eagles. She added five kills, two aces and six digs in the two victories. Over the course of her eight collegiate matches, Lilley has recorded two matches with 65 assists, a feat no other Wildcat has achieved.

Freshman of the Week
Taylor Bannister • LSU
Freshman • MB/OH • 6-5 • Missouri City, Texas

Bannister led the Tigers with a .543 hitting percentage, which included 58 kills on 94 attempts. She had 10-plus kills in all three matches on the weekend. Bannister picked up a match-high and season-best of 26 kills in 3-2 win over High Point and had a hitting percentage of .605. In the third set against the Panthers, she registered a set-high nine kills on 12 attempts with just one error. Bannister posted a match-high 14 kills in sweep of LIU Brooklyn and hit .667. She closed out the weekend with nine total blocks.
