The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2017 Oracle ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Preseason Rankings on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
On the men's side, the SEC has more than double of the next conference in both singles and doubles. In singles a total of nine players are listed in the Top 25: Nuno Borges, Mississippi State (2); Arthur Rinderknech, Texas A&M (4); Alfredo Perez, Florida (7); William Bushamuka, Kentucky (9); Gustav Hansson, Ole Miss (14); Timo Stodder, Tennessee (17); Cameron Klinger, Vanderbilt (20); Wayne Montgomery, Georgia (21); Daniel Valent, Vanderbilt (25). In doubles, the conference has five of the Tope 10 duos: Robert Loeb/Jan Zielinski, Georgia (2); Alfredo Perez/Johannes Ingildsen, Florida (5); Niclas Braun/Trevor Foshey, Mississippi State (7); Yancy Dennis/Harrison O'Keffe, South Carolina (8); Arthur Rinderknech/AJ Catanzariti, Texas A&M (9).
The women tied the ACC for most singles players ranked with six: Alizee Michaud, Auburn (9); Eleni Christofi, Georgia (10); Josie Kuhlman, Florida (12); Anna Danilina, Florida (15); Arianne Hartono, Ole Miss (17); Andie Dikosavljevic, Auburn (21). While in doubles, they lead with four duos in the Top 10: Alizee Michaud/Taylor Russo, Auburn (2); Arianne Hartono/Alexa Bortles, Ole Miss (6); Hadley Berg/Paige Cline, South Carolina (7); Leolia Jeanjean/Giulia Pairone, Arkansas (9).
The preseason rankings will be the only set of rankings released during the fall season, with the Oracle ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings set to return the first week of January 2018.
