Eleven former Southeastern Conference student-athletes were named to World Series rosters released Tuesday by the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers, including nine on active rosters.
Georgia leads the way with three former student-athletes on the two active rosters, while Arkansas and LSU have two apiece, and Auburn and Texas A&M each have one.
SEC players represented on the Astros' roster include Dallas Keuchel (Arkansas), Alex Bregman (LSU) and Will Harris (LSU), while the Dodgers' roster includes Logan Forsythe (Arkansas), Grant Dayton (Auburn), Kyle Farmer (Georgia), Josh Fields (Georgia), Alex Wood (Georgia) and Ross Stripling (Texas A&M).
In addition, inactive players on the two teams rosters include the Astros' Tony Kemp (Vanderbilt) and the Dodgers' Walker Buehler (Vanderbilt).
First pitch in Game 1 of the World Series is slated for Tuesday at 7:09 pm. CT.
