Player of the Week: Victoria Vivians, Mississippi State
Vivians continued a stellar start to her senior season, averaging 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals as MSU started the season 8-0 for the third time in the last four seasons. The week also put her over 1,900-career points, just the 3rd MSU player to ever do so. She capped the week scoring nearly 40 percent of the Bulldogs' points in a Big 12/SEC Challenge win against an Oklahoma State team that was receiving votes with a 6-1 overall record. Vivians notched her fourth-career 30-point game, knocking down an outstanding 55 percent from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 at the free-throw line. She also added 8 rebounds and tallied 3 steals. Sparked MSU to a crucial first-quarter advantage by scoring 9 of her 13 first-half points in the opening quarter and scored 17 of her 30 points in the second half, going 6-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-5 at the line, and grabbed 6 of her 8 rebounds as MSU held on to a 3-point halftime lead.

Freshman of the Week: Promise Taylor, Ole Miss
Taylor recorded her first-career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Arkansas State. She nearly averaged a double-double in two games last week with 10.5 PPG and 9.5 RPG. She shot .750 combined in both games and recorded eight total blocks, including six vs. Arkansas State (the most since Shawn Goff blocked six vs. Alcorn State on Nov. 24, 2008). Has hauled in at least eight rebounds in each of her last four games at five of her last six and has had multiple blocks in all but one game this season, including each of her last four games. Leads the SEC in blocks per game (3.3) and ranks second in the SEC in FG percentage (.677). Is the nation's top-ranked freshman in both FG percentage and blocks.
