Male Swimmer of the Week
Laurent Bams • Alabama
Junior • Eijsden, Netherlands
Bams won two individual races and swam legs on both winning relays as No. 17 Alabama earned a road win at No. 19 Florida State. He won the 100 breaststroke with a 53.97, nearly a second ahead of the field, and the 200 breaststroke by nearly two seconds with a career-best 1:59.41. Bams also swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay and was the anchor of the winning 200 free relay.
Male Diver of the Week
Juan Celaya-Hernandez • LSU
Sophomore • San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico
Celaya-Hernandez won both springboard events at No. 11 Georgia. He took first place in the 1-meter with a score of 393.00, and claimed first in the 3-meter with a final score of 413.55.
Male Freshman of the Week
Greg Reed • Georgia
Freshman • Roanoke, Va.
In Georgia's win over LSU, Reed won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:04.48. He also swam exhibition in the 500 freestyle, posting the top time of 4:26.01 in the event.
Female Swimmer of the Week
Stanzi Moseley • Tennessee
Sophomore • Bakersfield, Calif.
In the Lady Vols' win at Arkansas, Moseley won three individual events for the first time this season. It was her first win in the 50 free (23.17), second in the 100 free (49.57) and second in the 200 free (1:48.60) this season. Moseley helped Tennessee to improve to 6-2 overall and led the Lady Vols to win 14 of 16 events - including all swimming events - at the meet.
Female Diver of the Week
Lizzie Cui • LSU
Junior • Auckland, New Zealand
Cui won both springboard events at No. 6 Georgia on Saturday. She recorded a final score of 321.15 in the 1-meter and a final score of 360.45 in the 3-meter.
Female Freshman of the Week
Brooke Schultz • Arkansas
Freshman • Fayetteville, Ark.
Schultz won the one-meter and three-meter springboard titles against No. 7 Tennessee. She registered a score of 344.78 in the 1-meter and a score of 344.18 in the 3-meter.
