SEC Women's Legend Spotlight: Passion Richardson

Passion Richardson, Kentucky, Track & Field, 1994-97

A bronze medalist at the 2000 Sydney Olympics as she ran the anchor leg on the United States' 4x100-meter relay team in the opening round and semifinals. Richardson was also the silver medalist in the 60-meter dash at the 1997 USA Indoor Championships. While at UK, she was a four-time All-American in the 55 meters, 100 meters and 4x100-meter relay. She set the UK record at 60 meters, 100 meters and was part of the school-record 4x100-meter relay team. She was the SEC bronze medalist at 100 meters in 1997. She was on the World University Games Gold Medal 4x100-meter relay team in 1997 and took the silver medal in the same event at the Pan-American Games that same year. Later served as an assistant coach for UK track and field and is currently an academic counselor for UK Athletics.
