SEC Co-Players of the Week - Arkansas' Daryl Macon and Auburn's Mustpaha Heron
Macon, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound junior guard from Little Rock, Ark., and Heron, a 6-foot-5, 218-pound sophomore guard from Waterbury, Conn., were named SEC Co-Players of the Week. Macon averaged 23.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in at Georgia and against Oklahoma State. Macon went 14-of-27 (.519) from the floor, 9-of-17 (.529) from deep and a perfect 10-for-10 at the free throw line. Heron averaged 17.5 points and 10 rebounds in wins at Missouri and against Missouri. He made 13-of-22 (.591) of his field goals and 5-of-10 (.500) from 3-point range. He registered his fifth career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds at Missouri.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Kentucky's Kevin Knox
Knox, a 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward from Tampa, Fla., averaged 26.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in wins over Mississippi State and at No. 7 West Virginia. Knox had a monster week with two games of 20 or more points, including a career-high 34 points at West Virginia on Saturday. He shot a blazing 69.6 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from behind the arc. He keyed the third-biggest halftime deficit overcome in program history and the biggest come-from-behind win since UK erased a 19-point deficit vs. Vanderbilt on Feb. 28, 2017.
