Player of the Week

Ole Miss senior Arianne Hartono went 5-0 in singles and doubles to help lead the Rebels to a 3-0 start, including two wins at the ITA Kick-Off. She clinched the season opener at Purdue, defeating No. 86 Silvia Ambrosio, 6-2, 6-4. Against TCU she won her match at No. 1 singles in straight sets to set up her teammate for the clinch. She also defeated the No. 20 ranked doubles team (Babic/Blanco, 6-1) and the No. 21 ranked singles player (Vladica Babic, 6-0, 6-4) in straight sets to help the Rebels knock off No. 15 Oklahoma State in the championship match of the ITA Kick-Off.

Freshman of the Week

Georgia's Katarina Jokic defeated Michigan State and Penn's top senior and No. 1 singles player in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. She blew past Penn's only ranked player, No. 121 Lina Qostal, for the first singles match to finish. Qostal reached the quarterfinals of the 2017 Northeast ITA Regional, while Chua competed in the Midwest Regional. Jokic along with partner Mariana Gould, ranked 24th in ITA doubles, clinched both double points decisively for Georgia on the No. 3 court. The duo represented the only Bulldogs' pair to finish in both ITA matches.
