Player of the Week
Ole Miss sophomore Tim Sandkaulen went 4-0 in doubles and singles to help lead the Rebels to a 2-0 weekend, including a 4-3 win against No. 9 Baylor. Sandkaulen won his match at No. 2 singles against Cornell to give the Rebels the lead for good after they had dropped the doubles point. He teamed with Fabian Fallert to defeat the No. 2 ranked team in the nation at No. 1 doubles to clinch the point against No. 9 Baylor. He tied the match after Baylor had taken the lead, with a 6-4, 6-2 win against 64th-ranked Bjoern Petersen at No. 2 singles. He improved to 14-4 overall and 5-1 in dual matches. and moved to 8-1 overall with Fallert and 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Freshman of the Week
After opening his freshman campaign with a 1-4 record, Arkansas' Jose Alonso has won each of his last two singles matches and picked up another win by forfeit. His 6-1, 6-3 win over Eddie Stoica helped Arkansas build a 3-1 lead over the Shockers on Saturday, as the Razorbacks held off Wichita State 4-3 in a nail-biter.
