SEC Player of the Week - Vanderbilt's Jeff Roberson
Roberson, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound senior forward from Houston, Texas, averaged 24 points, nine rebounds and two assists in wins over Mississippi State and Florida. Vanderbilt's leading scorer and rebounder, added his eighth double-double of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the win over the Bulldogs, and then scored a game-high 26 points in the win over the Gators. For the week he shot 54.5 percent (12-of-22) from the field, 50 percent (5-of-10) from three, and converted on 19 of 24 shots from the charity stripe.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Arkansas' Daniel Gafford
Gafford, a 6-foot-11, 234-pound forward from El Dorado, Ark., averaged 18.5 points and six rebounds in wins at Ole Miss and over No. 21 Texas A&M. He finished with a team-high 19 points on 6-of-7 shooting to go along with six rebounds at Ole Miss. Against No. 21 Texas A&M, Gafford shot 7-of-8 from the floor for 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Gafford shot 86.7 percent from the floor on the week, going 13-of-15. With four dunks, he improved his dunk total to a team-high 54 this season.
