SEC Player of the Week - Florida's Jalen Hudson and Tennessee's Admiral Schofield
Hudson, a 6-foot-6, 192-pound junior guard from Richmond, Va., and Schofield, a 6-foot-5, 238-pound junior wing from Zion, Ill., were named SEC Co-Players of the Week. Hudson averaged 24.5 points in wins at Alabama and over No. 23 Kentucky. Hudson shot over 60 percent on the week from the field while shooting over 50 percent from behind the three point arch. Schofield averaged 23.5 points and five rebounds in wins at Mississippi State and Over Georgia. Schofield made 50 percent (17-of-34) of his field goal attempts on the week while helping lead Tennessee to a share of the SEC Championship.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Missouri's Jontay Porter,
Porter, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward from Columbia, Mo., averaged 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and five assists in wins at Vanderbilt and over Arkansas. First scored a season-high 24 points at Vanderbilt (Feb. 27) and followed up with 19 points in the regular season finale at home vs. Arkansas (March 3). His stat line of 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists at Vanderbilt was the first 20-5- 5 game accomplished by a Mizzou freshman since the 1998-99 season (Keyon Dooling).
