Player of the Week: Tyler Keenan, Ole Miss
Ole Miss' Tyler Keenan hit .556 with a pair of home runs and a pair of doubles to lead the Rebels to a sweep of No. 17 Auburn. In game one against the Tigers he hit a two-out RBI double. On Saturday he finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI with a double and a home run, including a 2-for-2 mark off projected top MLB Draft pick Casey Mize. Keenan drove in the first run of the game on a two-out single in the second inning and later knocked a two-run opposite-field home run off of Mize. He went 1-for-2 with a walk and HBP in Game 3, belting the go-ahead home run in the 7th inning to break a four-inning scoreless drought.
Pitcher of the Week: Cody Morris, South Carolina
South Carolina's Cody Morris tied his career high with 10 strikeouts in a career-best seven innings of work as the Gamecocks defeated Missouri 1-0 on a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth on Sunday. Morris was dominant after the first inning as he did not allow a runner in scoring position after that inning. Morris had a strikeout in all seven innings he pitched and lowered his ERA to 4.22. He has 69 strikeouts in 64 innings pitched to go along with six wins.
Freshman of the Week: Daniel Cabrera, LSU
LSU's Daniel Cabrera hit .769 (10-for-13) in four games with two doubles, one triple, two homers and 10 RBI last week. In the Tigers' series victory over Alabama, he hit .700 (7-for-10) with two doubles, one triple, one homer and six RBI. Cabrera was 2-for-2 at the plate in Sunday's series-clinching win over the Tide with a two-run homer, one double, one walk and four RBI. For the entire week, he posted a 1.538 slugging percentage and an .813 on-base percentage.
