SEC Player of the Week - Arkansas guard Isaiah Joe, a 6-foot-5, 167-pound freshman from Fort Smith, Ark., scored a career-high 34 points in leading the Razorbacks to a win over FIU. Joe 10-for-13 from 3-point range and that .764 percentage ties for the best percentage in SEC history for those that made at least 10 in a game. His 34 points scored is tied for the second-most by a freshman in Arkansas history. He started the game going 1-for-3 from 3-point range then made six straight attempts. Joe finished the game making 9-of-his-last-10 3-pointers.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Florida guard Andrew Nembhard, a 6-foot-5, 191-pound freshman from Aurora, Ontario, Canada, played a near-flawless floor game with 11 assists and no turnovers in 22 minutes against North Florida. He had seven of his assists at the break, having dished on five of the team's first eight field goals. In the last two games, Nembhard has 18 assists and zero turnovers. With the 11 assists against North Florida, he became the eighth SEC player and second SEC freshman since 1996-97 to have 11+ assists and zero turnovers in a game.
