SEC Co-Players of the Week - Arkansas forward Daniel Gafford, a 6-foot-11, 233-pound sophomore from El Dorado, Ark., and South Carolina forward Chris Silva, a 6-foot-9, 234-pound senior from Libreville, Gabon., were named SEC Co-Players of the Week. Gafford averaged 24.5 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in wins at Vanderbilt and over Alabama. Gafford shot made 67.0 percent (19-28) of his field goals and turned in a 16-rebound performance in the regular season finale. Silva averaged 23 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in wins at Texas A&M and against Georgia. He hit a career highs for 3-pointers (four) and rebounds (17) against Texas A&M.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Kentucky guard Tyler Herro, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound freshman from Milwaukee, Wisc., averaged 18 points, 5.5 rebounds two assists and two steals in wins at Ole Miss and over Florida. Herro registered his fifth 20-point effort of the season against the Rebels. He followed that with a 16-point performance in a win at home against Florida.
