Gators Get Back on Track Against UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Tishona Gregory scored 15 points and Bernice Mosby added 14 points and nine rebounds as Florida beat Central Florida 72-48 Wednesday night.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Florida (6-3), while UCF (3-3) falls to .500. Trish Patterson added 10 points for Florida.

Trailing 18-16 late in the first half, the Gators finished with a 17-4 run to take a 33-22 halftime lead. Gregory sparked the surge by scoring six points on a three-point play and a 3-pointer.

UCF rallied briefly at the start of the second half, cutting the deficit to 35-33 with a 11-2 run of its own.

However, Gregory stole back the momentum for Florida, connecting on consecutive 3-pointers that started an extended 21-2 spurt that put the game away.

Ali Roberts was the only UCF player to score in double figures with 10 points while Takira Allen added eight points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
