Georgia, Tennessee to Host 2003 First- and Second-Round Games

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee has determined the competition dates for the 16 first- and second-round sites for the 2003 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship.

The following sites will host games Saturday, March 22 and Monday, March 24:

The following sites will host games Sunday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 25:

Games at the four regional sites will be played over four days. The Mideast Regional at Thompson-Boling Arena (25,000), hosted by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Midwest Regional at University Arena "The Pit" (16,301), hosted by the University of New Mexico, will be Saturday, March 29 and Monday, March 31. The East Regional at the University of Dayton Arena (13,000), hosted by the University of Dayton, and the West Regional at Maples Pavilion (7,391), hosted by Stanford University, will be Sunday, March 30 and Tuesday, April 1.

The 2003 NCAA Women's Final Four will take place Sunday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 8 at the Georgia Dome (28,210) in Atlanta, with Georgia Institute of Technology serving as host.
