Commodores Romp Past UW-Milwaukee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Abi Ramsey scored 15 of her career-high 18 points in the first half, when ninth-ranked Vanderbilt established a huge cushion en route to a 91-58 victory Tuesday night over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Chantelle Anderson had 22 points and Jenni Benningfield 17 for Vanderbilt (5-1).

The Commodores led 56-13 at halftime, the biggest margin at the break in the program's history. Vanderbilt led Towson State by 40 points at the half in a 105-46 victory Feb. 21, 1995.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee (3-5) went more than nine minutes without a point in the first half, allowing the Commodores to stretch an 11-7 lead to 35-7 with seven minutes to play.

Vanderbilt went on to lead by as many as 54 points, going ahead 81-27 on a Nicole Jules' basket with 10:16 remaining.

Kimberly Becker scored 14 points to lead Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Maria Viall added 13.
