Junior Beth Vice recorded her first career double-double against Arkansas scoring 11 points and hauling in a career-best 13 rebounds. The Crimson Tide face Mississippi State on Thursday night. Alabama is 30-4 all-time versus MSU and have won 27 of the last 28 meetings between the two schools. Alabama visits cross-state rival Auburn on Sunday looking to continue its current four-game win streak over the Tigers. With the Tide's next victory, UA head coach Rick Moody will tie former UA men's head coach Wimp Sanderson as Alabama's winningest basketball coach with 267 wins.

ARKANSAS Lady Razorbacks
Junior India Lewis had a career high 29 points to lead Arkansas to its third straight SEC win. Lewis' 29 is the most for a Lady'Back this year and the most since 29 by Wendi Willits back in 1990. Shameka Christon added 16 against Alabama in the 72-70 win. Christon led Arkansas earlier in the week with #8 Vanderbilt with 21. The Lady"Backs travel to Tennessee for a third top 10 game in the past four contests. Along with her scoring mark, Lewis hit seven threes for a team and career high. The 5-6 guard also had a career high two blocks against Bama.

AUBURN Tigers
A pair of newcomers had career days in Auburn's loss at Mississippi State on Sunday. Freshman Natasha Brackett led the Tigers with a career-high 18 points, while JUCO transfer Kerdu Arbet added a career-high 12 points. Junior LaKeisha Johnson led the Tigers on the board in the loss with a career-high 11 rebounds. Auburn will try to snap a season-long four-game losing streak when they travel to Baton Rouge on Thursday to face LSU in the PMAC. Senior Carol Smith climbed into eighth-place in career three-point baskets made with 58. She passed Suzette Sargeant on the list. Smith is now two away from passing LaRita Spencer.

FLORIDA Lady Gators
Florida plays just one game this week, traveling to Oxford, Miss., on Sunday, February 10th for a meeting against Ole Miss. This is the second time the Lady Gators and Lady Rebels play each other. UF won the Jan. 20th decision 75-73 in Gainesville. Last week's games concluded a four-game stretch versus nationally ranked teams -- and the Lady Gators were underdogs in all four. UF opened the stretch with a pair of impressive wins, upsetting No. 6 Vanderbilt 62-51 in Nashville and No. 17 Georgia 73-64 in Gainesville. The Lady Gators couldn't keep up the streak and ended the run with losses to No. 2 Tennessee 86-66 in Knoxville and No. 11 South Carolina 69-59 in Gainesville.

GEORGIA Lady Bulldogs
The Lady Dogs went 1-1 last week, losing to Mississippi State on Thursday before bouncing back to defeat Kentucky on Sunday. Georgia travels to South Carolina on Thursday before hosting Tennessee on Sunday. The Lady Dogs' matchup with the Lady Gamecocks is the second in just under a month. On Jan. 10 in Athens, South Carolina secured a 71-64 victory. UGA owns a 19-3 lead in the all-time series with Carolina, including an 8-1 mark in Columbia. Prior to last month's loss, the Lady Dogs had won eight straight dating back to 1993. Tennessee is the only SEC school with a winning record against Georgia, sporting a 27-13 lead in the series.

KENTUCKY Lady Wildcats
Kentucky dropped its sixth straight conference game with a 76-50 loss to No. 19 Georgia on Sunday. Freshman Sara Potts tied her career-high 15 points to lead the Wildcats in scoring. The Lady Bulldogs held the Cats to a season-low 32.0 percent shooting from the field as Potts was the only player in double figures for Kentucky. UK leading scorer SeSe Helm was again held to single digits, scoring a season-low seven points. The Cats look to get back on track when they travel to Oxford, Miss., on Thursday to take on Ole Miss.

LSU Lady Tigers
The Lady Tigers sweep a two-game series from Ole Miss for the second time in school history in four attempts. Sophomore Doneeka Hodges recorded the first double-double of her career with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Ke-Ke Tardy scored a season-high 19 points. Junior Patty Hanten missed the Ole Miss game with a broken nose and is questionable for the Thursday game with Auburn.

OLE MISS Lady Rebels
Ole Miss freshman Carletta Brown continues to impress. Brown has scored in double figures in four out-of-the last six games and is leading Ole Miss in scoring in SEC play with 9.8 points per game. The Lady Rebels' victory of #23 Auburn last week was their first victory over a ranked team in six tries this season. It was their first victory over Auburn since the 1998-99 season and their first win at Auburn since the 1991-92 season. Ole Miss will host Kentucky and Florida this week. The games this week will mark just the second time this season the Lady Rebels have played back-to-back games at Tad Smith Coliseum.

MISSISSIPPI STATE Lady Bulldogs
Mississippi State is off to its best SEC start in school history at 7-2. The previous best was 5-2 during the 1999-2000 campaign. That year also marked the most consecutive SEC wins at five. State currently has a four-game league win streak. MSU is 5-3 against top-25 teams this season, which includes a season sweep of Georgia, the first in school history. State's thrilling come-from-behind victory at Georgia last week gave the Lady Bulldogs its first win in Athens since 1998 and only its third in the series history.

SOUTH CAROLINA Lady Gamecocks
The 11th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks got back on track with a Super Bowl Sunday victory at Florida, 69-59. It was USC's first win in Gainesville, Florida since the 1991-92 season and helps the team continue the nation's third best turnaround from last season. Jocelyn Penn poured in 29 points and seven rebounds while Shaunzinski Gortman contributed 13. Point guard Cristina Ciocan scattered 11 assists against only two turnovers. South Carolina (18-3, 6-2) has now tied the school's record for SEC victories in a season and begins to push for its first 20-win season since 1990-91.

TENNESSEE Lady Volunteers
With the loss at Vandy, UT's 14-game SEC road-winning streak was broken. The last time UT lost an SEC road game was to Georgia, 78-51, on Jan. 17, 2000. With the loss at Vandy, UT's 26-game overall road winning streak was broken. The last time UT lost a regular season game on the road was on Jan. 17, 2000, at Georgia, 78-51. Against Vanderbilt, the Lady Vols went over the 200,000 mark in total attendance for the eighth consecutive season.

VANDERBILT Commodores
Vanderbilt snapped Tennessee's 31-game SEC regular season win streak with a 76-59 win. UT's 59 points is a season low. After playing only four minutes in the first half, Chantelle Anderson scored 22 points in the second half to lead VU to its second consecutive victory over the Lady Vols. Jillian Danker recorded her first double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds vs. UT. The game was a sellout three days prior to the game. Chantelle Anderson totaled her 10th career double-double, fourth of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds at Arkansas. The Commodores reached 20 wins in a season for the 16th time overall and 10th time under head coach Jim Foster. Only once in history (1993) has Vanderbilt reached 20 victories in fewer games. This year it is in 25 games which also happened in 1995.

SEC IN 20TH SEASON OF CONFERENCE PLAY
This marks the 20th season of conference play in the SEC. Women's basketball first came under the auspices of the Southeastern Conference for the 1982-83 season. Games played between SEC teams before that time are not counted in the all-time SEC standings, since there was no uniform number of conference games played each season prior to that time.

Since that time, five teams have won the SEC Championship. Tennessee leads with nine titles, while Georgia is close behind with seven. Auburn has won four titles, with Ole Miss and Kentucky each winning one.
