Team Notes

ALABAMA Crimson Tide
Alabama extended home win streak vs Non-SEC squads to 49 games with victory over BSC. The Tide has made atleast one three-pointer in every game this year and has made a trey in 69 straight games. Bama meets Providence on Tuesday as a part of a doubleheader with the UA men's team. It marks the crimson pairs first doubleheader since the 1996-97 season. UA's 2-0 record at the UTSA Classic gave them a share of the tourney title, marking the program's 35th all-time crown and the 27th of Rick Moody's tenure.

ARKANSAS Lady Razorbacks Arkansas came within seconds and inches of upsetting the No. 1 team in the nation at the Paradise Jam. The Lady'Backs led almost the entire game in regulation and most of overtime as Duke hit free throws with 1.7 seconds left in OT for the 74-72 win. Lakishia Harper's 52-foot shot at the buzzer rimmed out to save the Blue Devils. India Lewis rides a 14-free throw streak into this week after being selected all-tournament at Paradise Jam along with teammate Shameka Christon. Arkansas had lost by one and two points in regulation during the 1980s to the No. 1 team, but had not gotten within 10 of No. 1 in over a decade until Saturday's game with Duke.

AUBURN Tigers
Auburn claimed its 10th consecutive Auburn Thanksgiving Classic title in a 77-59 win over Belmont in the championship game. The Gators enter Tuesday's game versus Miami with a 41-game winning streak against instate opponents. Vanessa Hayden extended her streak of blocking at least one shot to 51 consecutive games. The basketball jersey of Hayden is currently displayed in the "Ring of Honor" at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

SEC IN 21st SEASON OF CONFERENCE PLAY

This marks the 21st season of conference play in the SEC. Women's basketball first came under the auspices of the Southeastern Conference for the 1982-83 season. Games played between SEC teams before that time are not counted in the all-time SEC standings, since there was no uniform number of conference games played each season prior to that time.

Since that time, five teams have won the SEC Championship. Tennessee leads with 11 titles, while Georgia is close behind with seven. Auburn has won four titles, with Ole Miss and Kentucky each winning one.
