Fans Let Grills do the Talking at SEC Football Championship

Texas Pete raises the tailgating bar by offering the Ultimate SEC Championship package to the winner of the Texas Pete Tailgating Cook-off.

Atlanta, GA - This weekend as over 75,000 SEC fans roll into Atlanta, two of the arrivals will be thinking about winning on the grill iron instead of the grid iron. This weekend marks the first Texas Pete® SEC Tailgate Championship. For the past 12 weeks, tailgating fanatics from all 12 SEC schools have been going all out on game day for the opportunity to become finalists and represent their team at the Texas Pete SEC Tailgate Cook-off during FanFare. Shellie Sullivan of Covington GA will be representing The University of Georgia in the match up, and William G. Day of Baton Rouge, LA will be representing Louisiana State University. The trash talking has already begun with Mr. Day cooking up GA Dawgs with a Gator Tail appetizer.

The Texas Pete SEC Tailgate Cook-off will take place from noon to 5pm this Friday, December 2nd at the Texas Pete Timeout Grill at FanFare. Judging will take place at 5pm. The contest will be judged on enthusiasm, presentation, and the quality of the dish. Of course all dishes must include Texas Pete products. Texas Pete is an official sponsor of the SEC.
