  • LHP David Price, Vanderbilt: Price struck out 16 batters during a 4-hit, 9-inning complete game as the Commodores won, 2-1. He gave up a solo homer in the second and then retired the next 12 batters, seven via strikeout. After giving up his only walk in the sixth, Price then retired the next seven in order, five by strikeout. Two of the four hits were infield singles in the ninth.
  • 1B Justin Bour, George Mason: Bour put together one of the best weeks in college baseball history as he went 10-for-20 with 7 home runs, 19 RBI, 9 runs scored and posted a 1.650 slugging percentage over four games. Only a freshman, Bour set a school record with 2 grand slams and 9 RBI in a game against Coppin St. He set a school record with 3 grand slams in a season (all hit during the past week). He set a school record for most consecutive multi-homer games with three. In addition, he tied a school record with 3 home runs in one game against Coppin St.
  • LHP Brandon Turner, Mount Vernon Nazarene: Turner fired the 14th no-hitter in school history during a 3-0, 7-inning win over Shawnee St. Making his first start of the season, he retired the first 17 batters he faced before walking a batter with two outs in the bottom of the sixth. He finished with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in seven innings. It was only the second complete game of his career and first shutout.
