TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Alabama women's basketball team knocked off conference-foe Missouri by a final score of 67-64 on Thursday night inside Foster Auditorium. Tonight's victory, the Crimson Tide's second SEC victory of the season (2-9), evens Alabama's record on the season to 13-13.
A back-and-forth contest between the two conference foes eventually ended with Sharin Rivers' go-ahead three with just nine seconds remaining in the game. Alabama held strong on its final defensive series to bring its recent 4-game losing streak to an end.
Three Alabama scores reached double-figures, led by Karyla Middlebrook's career-high 17 point performance. Rivers turned in 12 points for to the Tide, to go along with sophomore forward Ashley Williams' 10-point night. Alabama will travel to College Station on Monday, February 16th, when the Tide plays the #15 Texas A&M Aggies. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at Reed Arena on SEC Network.
