Week 3 SEC Players of the Week
CO-OFFENSE
Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
• Rushed for a career-high 228 yards and tied a career-best with 3 rushing TDs in 19 carries in LSU's 45-21 win over No. 18 Auburn.
• Opened game with a 71-yard run that set the tone for a contest that saw LSU rush for 411 yards, its second-highest total in a conference game ... Scored on runs of 40, 29 and 1 yards in helping LSU build a 38-7 lead late in third quarter.
• All of his rushing yards came in three quarters of action as he was just 23 yards shy of breaking the school record despite sitting out the fourth quarter ... Averaged 12.0 yards per carry, a school-record for a back with at least 15 attempts in a game.
• His 387 rushing yards is the most by an LSU player thru 2 games ... Game also marked his 5th straight 100-yard game and seventh of career (LSU 6-1 in those games).
Greyson Lambert, QB, Georgia
• Lambert went 24-for-25 (a school, SEC and NCAA record 96 percent) for a career-high 330 yards and three touchdowns, which matched his career high, in the 52-20 dismantling of South Carolina.
• He completed 20 passes in a row to end the contest, which topped a Bulldog record of 19 set by Mike Bobo at the 1998 Outback Bowl.
• Lambert connected with nine different receivers in his third game with Georgia after transferring from Virginia.
• He led the offense to 52 points (most ever for the Bulldogs against a Spurrier coached team and tied for the most for Georgia in the South Carolina series) and 576 total yards.
DEFENSE
Robert Nkemdiche, DE, Ole Miss
• Dominated the trenches in leading Ole Miss in an historic win at Alabama.
• Collected six tackles with 2.5 TFLs and 0.5 sack while opening up opportunities for his teammates.
• Assisted on a key sack late in the fourth quarter.
• Led a Rebel defense that forced five Tide turnovers and has 10 takeaways this season.
• It marked Ole Miss' first win in Tuscaloosa since 1988.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Gary Wunderlich, PK, Ole Miss
• Was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals, including a 45-yarder, in helping Ole Miss to an historic win at Alabama.
• Totaled 13 points scored in the six-point Rebel victory.
• The three field goals marked a career high.
• Also connected on all four PATs.
• It marked Ole Miss' first win in Tuscaloosa since 1988.
FRESHMAN
Preston Williams, WR, Tennessee
• The freshman receiver scored his first two touchdowns on his career including a touchdown on his first career catch in the Vols win over Western Carolina, 55-10.
• Williams had three catches for 98 yards and the two scores.
• He scored on TD catches of 25 and 24 yards along with a 49-yard reception.
• He became the first Vols freshman since Justin Hunter in 2010 to have two receiving touchdowns in a game.
OFFENSIVE LINE
Vadal Alexander, OT, LSU
• Played all 65 offensive snaps for LSU as the Tigers racked up 45 points and 485 total yards in win over No. 18 Auburn.
• Graded out at a team- best 90 percent with 13 knockdowns to go along with no sacks or quarterback pressures ... Helped pave the way for a 411-yard rushing effort for LSU, the school's second-highest total in a SEC contest.
• LSU averaged a staggering 8.6 yards on 48 rushing attempts ... And for the second straight week helped RB Leonard Fournette set a career-best with 228 yards and three TDs.
DEFENSIVE LINE
Jonathan Bullard, DL, Florida
• Bullard amassed two of the six sacks on Kentucky quarterback Patrick Towles for a loss of 21 yards.
• The Gator had five total tackles with four those being solo.
• Bullard was again part of a defensive line that only allowed Kentucky to amass 115 yards of rushing and 241 yards of total offense.
