"Buentello had a great series at Alabama and continued that tonight using all parts of the field and getting three big RBI," Auburn head coach Butch Thompson said. "We played offense late and had a good night. Iron sharpens iron with our guys. Melvin (Gray) also had a big night with three hits and two runs for us."

Klobosits was dominant over eight innings with on a career-high 102 pitches. He recorded seven strikeouts and no walks to improve to 3-5 on the season.

With the bases loaded, the Tigers (22-26) got on the board in the second inning on a RBI single from Cody Nulph. Auburn went up 2-0 in the third with an RBI from Buentello.

The Tigers put the game away scoring four runs in the seventh inning that widened their lead to 7-1. Grier led off with his 10th homer of the season.

Grier and Buentello are the first Auburn players to record 10 or more home runs since 2010.

After back-to-back singles by Gray and Jordan Ebert, Buentello kept the momentum going with an RBI single to left that scored Gray for his 50th RBI of the season.

Gray had three hits and scored two runs. Damon Haecker had two hits.
