SEC Volleyball Week 7 Player of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Leah Edmond • Kentucky

Edmond helped the Wildcats improve to 5-0 in league play with two victories at home this past weekend. She averaged 5.31 points and 4.50 kills per set. Edmond started things off with a double-double of 11 kills and 17 digs against Alabama on Friday, while also adding four total blocks and three aces. On Sunday against Auburn, she recorded 25 kills, eight digs and three total blocks. Edmond is currently second on the SEC charts in kills per set (4.29) and points per set (4.94).

Defensive Player of the Week
Rachael Kramer • Florida
Sophomore • MB • 6-8 • Phoenix, Ariz.

Kramer moved to eighth place in the SEC in blocks per set (1.15) after averaging 2.00 last week, She set her season high for blocks in both of Florida's matches last week, including a seven-block outing in a sweep of Georgia. Kramer helped the Gators hold Georgia to a .075 clip, marking the fourth time this year they held an opponent under a .100 clip. She also helped limit Texas A&M to a .170 hitting percentage, making the Aggies the 12th opponent to hit under .185 against Florida.

Setter of the Week
Madison Lilley • Kentucky
Freshman • 5-11 • Overland Park, Kan.

Lilley averaged 13.00 assists per frame, well above her season average of 11.90, which was already the highest freshman mark in the nation. She had 54 assists and 11 digs for a double-double against Alabama, and then posted another double-double with 50 assists and 12 digs over Auburn. Lilley also contributed 23 digs, six total blocks and six kills over the two wins for the Wildcats.

Freshman of the Week
Taylor Bannister • LSU
Freshman • MB/OH • 6-5 • Missouri City, Texas

Bannister led the Tigers in both matches this week in kills, with a match-high 13 kills in the sweep of Mississippi State on Friday and 22 kills in the five-set victory over Arkansas on Sunday. She averaged a team-high 4.38 kills Bannister and 4.75 points per set. Bannister tallied a team-high 35 kills on the weekend with a .274 hitting percentage.
