Player of the Week: Jax Biggers, Arkansas

Arkansas' Jax Biggers had a breakout week, hitting .588 with two doubles, two home runs, and seven RBIs out of the leadoff spot in five games against Texas and No. 4 Kentucky. His performance was one of many that helped Arkansas score the most runs in an SEC series (39) since 1997, and his two home runs, one in each game of the doubleheader with Kentucky on Saturday, helped the Razorbacks sweep the Wildcats. In the Kentucky series alone, Biggers totaled three multi-hit games, including one three-hit game and one four-hit game. He went 7-for-9 (.778) in the Saturday doubleheader with two long balls and six RBIs.

Pitcher of the Week: Casey Mize, Auburn

Auburn's Casey Mize matched his career-high with 13 strikeouts and allowed just one run on five hits in 7.1 innings to lead the Tigers to a win over No. 6 Texas A&M on Friday. Mize earned his fifth straight win to start the season and became the first Auburn pitcher to win five straight starts to begin a season since Tim Hudson did so in 1997. He did not issue a walk for the second straight start and the seventh time since the start of last season. He struck out the side in three separate innings, including the first, second and fifth frames and has struck out 51 batters and issued only three walks in 32.2 innings this year.

Freshman of the Week: Casey Martin, Arkansas

Arkansas' Casey Martin continued his strong freshman campaign, hitting .350 last week with three home runs and seven RBIs combined against Texas and No. 4 Kentucky. Against Texas, the Arkansas native went 3-for-7 with five RBIs as well as a home run in each game. During the three-game sweep of No. 4 Kentucky, Martin extended his hitting streak to a team-best 13 games. He has hit an even .400 during the streak with 20 hits, 17 RBIs, six home runs, and 16 runs scored. Martin has hit one home run in four of the last six games and currently leads all freshmen with seven home runs on the year.
