COLUMBIA, Mo. -- No. 3 seed South Carolina (45-13) earned a 3-1 victory against No. 7 seed Arkansas (39-15) to advance to the SEC Tournament championship game for the first time since 2001.

The Gamecocks got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Kenzi Maguire's single brought Jana Johns across the plate.

South Carolina senior Tiara Duffy blasted a two-run homer in the fourth to extend the lead to 3-0. The home run was South Carolina's 61st of the season, a school record.

The Gamecocks loaded the bases in the fifth, but Arkansas got out of the jam with a South Carolina popout.

A sacrifice fly by A.J. Belans in the sixth inning gave Arkansas its only run of the contest. The Razorbacks' comeback attempt was shut down as South Carolina pitcher Dixie Raley (12-4) retired the final five batters to seal the victory. Raley threw her eighth complete game of the year, striking out seven batters.

USC finished the day with seven hits from seven different batters.
