BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - SEC football fans are reminded that the inaugural SEC Football Kickoff Summerfest presented by Regions Bank will be held Sunday, July 15, in Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. The event is free and open to the public.
SEC Summerfest will be anchored by the SEC Network's traveling road show, SEC Nation, which will broadcast live from the event.
SEC Summerfest is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 15 in Centennial Olympic Park on Marietta St. NW between Andrew Young International Blvd NW and Park Avenue NW. The SEC Nation show will be live from 6 pm to 8 pm ET.
This first-of-its-kind free fan event is being held in conjunction with the SEC's annual football media days which is making its first stop in Atlanta at the nearby College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center.
Fans attending SEC Summerfest will have an opportunity to engage with fellow SEC fans in a family-friendly game day environment featuring the first SEC Nation broadcast of the 2018 football season. Other activities include live music, food trucks, interactives and much more.
SEC Nation will feature SEC Network host Laura Rutledge, analysts Paul Finebaum and Marcus Spears, along with reporter Lauren Sisler. Other ESPN/SEC Network analysts expected to be on hand include Gene Chizik, Greg McElroy, David Pollack and Jordan Rodgers. Regular SEC Nation analyst Tim Tebow is playing minor league baseball during the summer and will be unable to participate, but will rejoin the cast in the fall.
The College Football Hall of Fame will be open on the day of SEC Summerfest until 5 pm. Tickets for admission to the Hall of Fame can be purchased online at www.cfbhall.com or at the door.
SEC Football Kickoff Media Days presented by Regions Bank will be held Monday, July 16 through Thursday, July 19 at the College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center. Coaches and players from all 14 SEC institutions will meet with more than 1,000 members of the media in the annual ceremonial kickoff to the football season.
