SEC Women's Legends Spotlight: Sarah Rumely

The Southeastern Conference 2019 Class of Women's Legends showcases former student-athletes and coaches from all 14 SEC member institutions.

Sarah Rumely is the first player in Kentucky history to be named SEC Freshman of the Year (2006) and SEC Player of the Year (2008). A two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American, Rumley was also named All-SEC four times and to the CoSIDA Academic All-American third team. She led the team to the NCAA Tournament four times, including the Sweet 16 in 2009. She finished her career owning UK records in career assists (5,703) and aces (165), her 5,703 career assists also rank fifth all-time in SEC history. She is the first player to record a triple-double in a match in program history (10 kills, 56 assists, 18 digs vs. Ole Miss.
