SEC Offensive Player of the Week - Vanderbilt forward Haley Hopkins, sophomore from Newport Beach, Calif., scored the game-winning goals in the Commodores' wins at UC Irvine and at No. 22 Pepperdine. Hopkins scored early in the second half against UC Irvine for the game's only goal. She scored the game-winner in the 86th minute against Pepperdine to seal the deal. Hopkins has six goals in four games this season and has scored in every game, including six games in a row dating to 2018.
SEC Defensive Player of the Week - Vanderbilt defender Ella Shamburger, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., started both games as the center back for the Commodores that allowed zero goals in wins at UC Irvine and at No. 22 Pepperdine. The Commodores only allowed eight shots in two games on the weekend and kept their shutout streak going to start the 2019 season. Shamburger played all 90 minutes in both games this weekend.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Arkansas forward Anna Podojil, a freshman from Cincinnati, Ohio, scored two goals in helping the Razorbacks to a draw with Minnesota and a win over Southeast Missouri State. She scored Arkansas' only goal in a double overtime tie against Minnesota and added another against SEMO. Podojil has notched a point in three of her first four matches as a Razorback.
