SEC Player of the Week - Arkansas' Kayla Green, a junior catcher from Temecula, Calif., posted a .667 batting average as the Razorbacks went undefeated at the FGCU Invitational. Green went 3-for-4 against Furman to open the weekend, and later recorded a season-high three RBI against UIC. She closed out the weekend with a pair of hits vs. host FGCU, plating a run in the second on a single and driving in another run with a two-out double in the third. Defensively, Green anchored the Arkansas pitching staff to 33 strikeouts and just six walks and caught two runners attempting to steal a base.
SEC Pitcher of the Week - LSU's Ali Kilponen, a sophomore right-hander from Highlands Ranch, Colo., led the pitching staff to two of the three victories over the weekend, shutting out Samford on Friday and then coming in relief Sunday to get the win over No. 13/14/18/12 Louisiana. In her 8.2 innings of work, Kilponen did not allow a run, struck out six and held her opponents to a .111 batting average.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Alabama's Lexi Kilfoyl, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Land O'Lakes, Fla., led the pitching staff with 14.2 innings pitched at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational, posting a 1.91 ERA with five runs allowed (four earned) and 16 strikeouts. Kilfoyl shut out No. 1 Washington, registering six strikeouts and allowing just one hit and two walks in the 8-0 run-rule win. She also earned her first career hit in the game vs. the Huskies - an RBI triple.
