SEC co-Players of the Week - Texas A&M guard Wendell Mitchell and Vanderbilt guard Saben Lee were named co-Players of the Week. Mitchell, a 6-foot-3, 183-pound senior from Rockdale, Texas, averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in wins at No. 17 Auburn and against Arkansas. Mitchell matched his career high with 25 points in the win over Arkansas on Senior Day. Lee, a 6-foot-2, 183-pound junior from Phoenix, Ariz., averaged 28.5 points, six rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in wins at Alabama and against South Carolina. Lee scored a career-high 38 points in the win at Alabama, the second-most points ever in a road game by a Vanderbilt player.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Vanderbilt guard Scotty Pippen Jr., a 6-foot-1, 170-pound freshman from Los Angeles, Calif., averaged 17 points, 3.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in wins at Alabama and against South Carolina. Fifteen of his career-high tying 21 points against South Carolina came in the second half as he also set a new career mark with three steals. He converted 15-of-16 free throws against the Gamecocks and finished the week 21-of-25 at the line.
