SEC Gymnast of the Week - Florida's Trinity Thomas, a sophomore from York, Pa., won her seventh consecutive all-around title and eighth overall for 2020 with a 39.525 in the win at No. 25 Penn State on March 7. Thomas' 10.0 floor routine was first of collegiate career and makes her the nation's only gymnast with a 10.0 on three events (bars, beam, floor). She also tied for first place on bars with a 9.95.
SEC Specialist of the Week - Florida's Rachel Gowey, a senior from Urbandale, Iowa, posted two collegiate bests and a season best in Florida's win at No. 25 Penn State. Gowey recorded a 10.0 on beam to claim her first event title of the season and joined teammate Trinity Thomas to make Florida only team in nation with two to earn a 10.0 on beam in 2020. She also led off Florida's floor lineup with a collegiate-best 9.925 to share second and posted a season-best 9.925 on uneven bars to take third.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Missouri's Helen Hu, a freshman from Chicago, Ill., won three titles with two career-high scores as Mizzou earned a road win at No. 19 Nebraska on March 7. Hu won the beam title outright and tied for the all-around and bars crowns to up her season total to a team-high 15 event wins. She tallied career-best scores of 39.525 in the all-around and 9.875 on vault, to go along with a 9.95 on beam, 9.9 on bars and 9.8 on floor.
