Player of the Week: Texas A&M's Valentin Vacherot continued his scorching play in his final season in Aggieland as he topped No. 10 Oliver Crawford and No. 40 Paul Jubb over the weekend. He's currently riding an SEC-best 12-match win streak this year. Sunday's win was Vacherot's 16th-straight win in an SEC match to improve to 34-4 all-time in SEC regular season matches. His win over No. 10 Crawford was a do-or-die match for the Aggies as they trailed 3-1 in the team match at the time of his victory. Vacherot captured his 100th career victory (duals and tournaments) in the Maroon & White. Additionally, he moved into a tie for 7th on the all-time A&M singles dual matches win list (69).

Freshman of the Week: A new face for Mississippi State this spring, Alberto Colas has earned his way into the lineup quickly and has proven an effective weapon for the Bulldogs early on in his career. This past weekend against MSU's two ranked opponents on the road, the true freshman went undefeated in singles play. He pulled out a marathon 5-7, 6-3, 1-0(6) decision to claim the lone win for the Bulldogs at No. 19 Tennessee. In the next match at No. 10 Georgia, the rookie ousted UGA's Baptiste Anselmo in 7-6(4), 6-0 fashion. Colas is currently 7-3 in dual match singles play with wins coming at the #3 and #5 singles slots. He currently holds the highest win percentage of freshmen in the MSU starting lineup at 70%. In doubles, Colas is 8-2 in dual match play with Gregor Ramskogler at the No. 3 position. The duo, which had never been paired together before January, leads the team this spring with that mark.
