36 SEC baseball players garner national recognition

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 9, 2020) ----- A total of 36 Southeastern Conference student-athletes garnered national recognition from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the publication announced recently.

A total of 23 SEC student-athletes were named to the Collegiate Baseball All-America Team, including six on the first team. The six first team honorees were Texas A&M's Asa Lacy, Alabama's Connor Prielipp, Ole Miss' Tyler Keenan, Arkansas' Heston Kjerstad, Vanderbilt's Austin Martin and Texas A&M's Zach DeLoach.

The Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America Team included 16 SEC student-athletes, three of which were also named to the Division I All-America Team. Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco was named the Collegiate Baseball National Coach of the Year.
