Florida catcher Kendyl Lindaman is the recipient of the 2020 Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year award for Division I softball and headlines the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division I softball teams.

A senior education sciences major with a 4.00 GPA, Lindaman hit .410 with 32 hits, four doubles, seven home runs, 22 RBI, a team-high 18 walks and a team-best .525 on-base percentage in 27 games for the Gators before the 2020 NCAA softball season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lindaman, who transferred from the University of Minnesota following the 2018 season, has played in all 94 games of her Florida career, including 93 starts. In her collegiate career, she has a .374 average with 216 hits, 34 doubles, a pair of triples, 62 homers and 207 RBI. Lindaman is a two-time NFCA All-American and was named to the All-SEC First Team in 2019. She was also a 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Third Team honoree.

Despite the cancellation of spring competition during COVID-19, CoSIDA continued its sponsorship of the Academic All-America awards program. Student-athletes were selected based on career statistics.

In addition to Lindaman, the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division I Softball Teams has nine more representatives from programs within the Southeastern Conference, including four SEC repeat selections from the 2018 and 2019 teams - Bailey Hemphill and Kaylee Tow of Alabama, Bailey Vick of Kentucky and Mackenzie Boesel of South Carolina.
