TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - The No. 8 Texas A&M Aggies scored in the first 50 seconds of the match and battled the next 89 minutes to post a 2-0 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday evening.

Taylor Pounds scored off a Jimena Lopez corner kick 50 seconds into the contest and Laney Carroll scored on a give-and-go from Barbara Olivieri in the 68th minute as the Maroon & White won in Tuscaloosa for the first time since 2014.

For the match, the Aggies claimed the margins in shots (10-7), shots-on-goal (4-2) and corner kicks (10-4).
