Co-Freshman of the Week: Ole Miss' Reka Zadori defeated North Alabama's Kalais Going 6-1, 6-1. Her second match versus UNA's Lee-Taylor Bishop was stopped short due to the Rebels clinching the match 4-0. Zadori was leading 3-1 up one set on Bishop. Prior to the match, Going had won six of her previous nine dual singles matches and was 2-2 this season. Zadori earned her second career dual victory in strong fashion helping to secure a 7-0 sweep for Ole Miss.
Mississippi State's Chloé Cirotte defeated Charlotte Russell of Tulane 6-4, 6-4 to keep MSU perfect (8-0) and help the team match their best start in program history. Cirotte owns a perfect 7-0 record in singles dual matches in her first season in Starkville. In five of her seven singles outings this spring, Cirotte has limited her foe to just three games or less. The rookie is 8-1 in singles matches overall thus far in her MSU career.
