SEC Track & Field Weekly Honors - April 27, 2021

Men's Runner of the Week: Noah Williams, LSU
LSU's Noah Williams won the 400m dash at the LSU Alumni Gold with a personal best 44.30. His time is a world and NCAA lead. Williams also ran the second leg on the 4x100m relay that won gold with the second-fastest time in the NCAA this season (38.58). In addition, he ran the second leg on the 4x400m relay that placed first in 3:01.85.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week: JuVaughn Harrison, LSU
LSU's JuVaughn Harrison registered an outdoor personal best of 27-8.25 (8.44m) to win the long jump at the LSU Alumni Gold. It is the world and NCAA lead for 2021. Harrison's mark is also the sixth-best in collegiate history and ranks second in LSU history.

Men's Newcomer of the Week: Tzuriel Pedigo, LSU
LSU's Tzuriel Pedigo won the javelin competition at the LSU Alumni Gold with a mark of 239-10 (73.10m). It is a season-best for Pedigo and ranks 10th in the NCAA.

Men's Freshman of the Week: Sean Burrell, LSU
LSU's Sean Burrell ran a PR of 49.12 to claim the NCAA lead in the 400m hurdles at the LSU Alumni Gold. Burrell's time ranks second in the world this year, and it is the fourth-fastest in LSU history. He also anchored LSU to win in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:01.85.

Women's Runner of the Week: Tamara Clark, Alabama
Alabama's Tamara Clark posted the NCAA-leading time of 10.96 to win the LSU Alumni Gold, becoming the first UA woman under 11 seconds and tying the seventh best time in collegiate history. She bettered her own school record of 11.02 from 2018, and along with her 11.07 from earlier this season, gives her three of the five fastest 100-meter times in school history.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week: Deborah Acquah, Texas A&M
Texas A&M's Deborah Acquah won the long jump event at the LSU Alumni Gold with a school record mark of 22-4.25 (6.81m). She bettered her previous school record by just over seven inches. Acquah moved up to No. 3 in the nation with the mark.

Women's Newcomer of the Week: Charokee Young, Texas A&M
Texas A&M's Charokee Young won the LSU Alumni Gold with an outdoor personal best time of 51.49. Her time is No. 3 in the nation and No. 1 in the SEC. Young also ran as part of the women's 4x400m relay that won in 3:27.16, which is also No. 3 in the country.

Women's Freshman of the Week: Dominique Mustin, Texas A&M
Texas A&M's Dominique Mustin finished as the third best collegian and fourth overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.52 at the LSU Alumni Gold. Her time was a personal best and made her the fifth-best performer in school history. She is eighth overall nationally and second among freshmen.
