ATHENS, Ga. - Fourth-ranked Alabama Softball completed the weekend road sweep over No. 21 Georgia with a 6-3 win Sunday afternoon.

After two scoreless innings, Alabama (39-7, 15-6 SEC) got on the board with a run in the third and then tacked on two more in the fourth to take a three-run lead over Georgia (29-17, 7-14 SEC). The Bulldogs earned their first hit of the game in the fifth inning and tacked on a pair of runs soon after with a two-run home run to make it 3-2. Patience at the plate with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth scored three more runs for Alabama with a hit-by-pitch and a pair of walks. Georgia loaded the bases with nobody out in the sixth and got a run on a double play before a strikeout ended the inning with the score at 6-3. The Tide couldn't add to its lead in the seventh but the Bulldogs went down in order in the bottom half to close out the game.

Alexis Mack set the pace from the leadoff spot with a 3-for-5 day, scoring two runs. Kaylee Tow went 2-for-3 and Maddie Morgan earned a double, giving Mack, Tow and Morgan at least one hit in all three games this weekend. Taylor Clark and Elissa Brown each had two-hit performances at the bottom of the order. Montana Fouts (17-3) took a no-hit bid into the fifth inning, ending the complete-game win with 11 strikeouts.
