WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - No. 22 Tennessee volleyball swept its first two matches of the Stacey Clark Classic, defeating Purdue Fort Wayne (25-22, 25-20, 25-19) and Jacksonville State (25-23, 25-21, 25-17) Friday at Holloway Gymnasium.
UT (8-1) won both matches Friday in three-sets. The Lady Vols have won their last four matches in straight-sets and now have seven sweeps on the year.
Lily Felts led the Orange & White in kills on the day, putting down 21 on a .275 hit percentage.
Setter Natalie Hayward ran the offense well throughout the day, averaging 12.50 assists per set. Hayward totaled 75 assists overall - dishing out 35 versus Purdue Fort Wayne (2-9) and 40 against JSU (9-3).
Hayward earned her third double-double of the season against Jacksonville State as she dug 15 attacks to go along with her 35 assists.
In Friday's first match, defensive specialist Paola Laborda made her first-career start for the Lady Vols. The San Juan, Puerto Rico, native finished with nine digs, one service ace and one assist.
Match One - No. 22 Tennessee 3, Purdue Fort Wayne 0
Tennessee spread the wealth in Friday's first match as seven Lady Vols recorded a kill in the three-set win over Purdue Fort Wayne. Jasmine Brooks, Felts and Nicole Shanahan led the way with eight kills, while Danielle Mahaffey and Emily Merrick each chipped in with seven.
Raquel Perinar and Hayward rounded out the group with six and four kills, respectively.
Shanahan's eight kills are a career-best and she added three blocks and a service ace to her stat line versus IPFW.
Merrick equaled her career-high mark of seven kills against the Mastodons.
Match Two - No. 22 Tennessee 3, Jacksonville State 0
Felts did a little bit of everything for Tennessee against JSU, scoring 13 kills, notching a service ace, digging six attacks and recording a career-high tying four blocks. The Knoxville native hit an impressive .542 in the victory.
Junior right-side Morgahn Fingall led UT in kills as she tallied 14 versus the Gamecocks, while hitting .333. The Fairfax, Virginia, native had six digs and two blocks.
Breana Runnels and Ava Bell also reached double-figures in kills in Friday's second match, totaling 12 and 10, respectively. Bell hit a team-high .714 on 14 attacks and picked up five total blocks.

The Lady Vols close out the Stacey Clark Classic Saturday as they play ninth-ranked Purdue. The matchup will be UT's third against a top-10 opponent this season. First serve for the match is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET.
