BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Nov. 11, 2021)-----University of Florida softball student-athlete Kinsey Goelz and University of Georgia baseball student-athlete Josh Stinson have been selected to represent the Southeastern Conference at the 2021 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum Nov. 18-21 in Houston.
The NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum was created in 1997 and has served as host to more than 5,000 student-athletes since its inception. Student-athletes who attend the forum are taught leadership skills and given the chance to explore the relationship between personal values, core beliefs and behavioral styles.
Goelz, a redshirt senior on the Gators' softball team, received a bachelor's degree in Sport Management in August 2021. She has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in each of the last three years and was named to the First Year SEC Academic Honors Roll as a freshman. A native of Myakka City, Fla., Goelz played in 15 games last season with seven starts.
Stinson, a redshirt sophomore on the Bulldogs' baseball team, is currently pursuing a degree in Engineering. He was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and appeared in 17 games last season. A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Stinson was also named to the First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll following his redshirt season in 2020.
Goelz and Stinson were selected as exceptional student-athletes who have shown outstanding leadership among their peers, institutions and communities.
