SEC Gymnast of the Week - Florida's Sloane Blakely, a freshman from Frisco, Texas, won the all-around in the quad meet against Northern Illinois, Texas Woman's and Rutgers with a score of 39.450. Blakely was the first Gator to win all-around in their first collegiate meet since Kytra Hunter in 2012 and one of six Gators to win the all-around in their first meet since 1986. She shared the balance beam title with teammate Leah Clapper at 9.95, the highest beam mark for a Gator in her opening performance and a share of the nation's beam high through the opening weekend.
SEC Specialist of the Week - Florida's Alyssa Baumann, a graduate student from Dallas, Texas, recorded the winning floor mark of 9.975 in the quad meet against Northern Illinois, Texas Woman's and Rutgers, equaling her collegiate-best for the fourth time en route to claiming the seventh floor win of her Gator career. Her 9.975 equals the nation's floor high for the opening weekend. Baumann also placed third on balance beam with a 9.925, tying for fifth place among nation's beam performers through the opening weekend.
SEC Freshman of the Week - LSU's KJ Johnson, a freshman from Dallas, Texas, posted a pair of 9.90s in her collegiate debut for the Tigers. Johnson earned a 9.90 on floor to secure the victory. Earlier in the evening, she stuck her Yurchenko Full for a 9.90, just short of the 9.95 start value.
