NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Carter Holton and Christian Little combined for a three-hit shutout on Saturday afternoon as Vanderbilt clinched the series against Missouri with a 6-0 win at Hawkins Field.

Holton (4-0) delivered another impressive outing on the mound, notching his fourth quality start on the season. The freshman southpaw struck out 10 batters over seven scoreless innings, marking his second consecutive game with double-digit strikeouts.

The Commodores got on the board in the bottom of the third when Gavin Casas worked a bases-loaded walk to bring home Enrique Bradfield Jr. Vandy went on top 2-0 with another run in the fourth, this time on a solo home run by Tate Kolwyck.

It was Kolwyck's team-leading fifth homer of the season.

Vandy opened things up with a three-run sixth inning. Kolwyck singled with one out and took second on a wild pitch. Carter Young drove in Kolwyck with a single to right field.

Two batters later, Davis Diaz launched his first collegiate home run, a two-run shot to left field, to make it 5-0, Dores. Diaz finished the day 3-for-4, his fourth three-hit performance.

Vanderbilt added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth as Young drew a leadoff walk. After a Bradfield single, Diaz laid down a sac bunt to put runners on second and third with one out. Spencer Jones brought Young home on a groundout to give Vandy a 6-0 lead.

Christian Little preserved the shutout over the final two frames, which was Vanderbilt's fifth of the campaign. Little didn't allow a hit and totaled four strikeouts.
