March Equestrian Riders of the Month

Fences Riders of the Month:

Grace Boston, Texas A&M

  • Boston went undefeated in Fences, including one Most Outstanding Performer honor.
  • The senior recorded a season high ride of 87 to defeat SMU's Emma Jolly, 87-82 to open the month.
  • Boston followed with wins at home riding Splendid defeating Bridgewater's Casey Poe, 79-73, to earn MOP and she defeated OSU's Hope King, 76-72, on Rio.
  • The Owings Mills, Maryland, native, averaged a score of 80.67 in March.

Catalina Peralta, Georgia

  • Peralta helped the Georgia Bulldogs upset top-ranked Auburn with an impressive score of 90 in Fences.
  • She defeated her Tiger opponent by four points and earned MOP Honors, the first of her career.
  • The next day, against UT Martin, she rode to an 86 to defeat her opponent by seven points.
  • Her 90 against Auburn ties for the best among Bulldogs this season and ranks.

Flat Riders of the Month:

Jordan Toering, Georgia

  • Toering helped the Georgia Bulldogs upset top-ranked Auburn with an impressive score of 89 in Flat.
  • She defeated her Tiger opponent by two points. The next day, against UT Martin, she rode to an incredible 97.5 to defeat her opponent by seven and a half points.
  • Her 97.5 ranks third best ever in program history and best of the season.
  • She earned MOP honors for the ride, marking her third of the season in Flat.

Alice Kass, South Carolina

  • Kass closed out the regular season with two points and a season record. In the meet against No. 10 Delaware State, Kass' 74 helped complete the 5-0 sweep on the flat.
  • In the meet against Lynchburg, Kass scored an 89.5 to win her point and secure MOP honors.
  • It was the highest score of the day on the flat and also set a season record for South Carolina as the highest score earned.
  • The point extended her winning streak to five meets and secured her first MOP of the season.

Horsemanship Rider of the Month:

Jillian Stopperich, Georgia

  • Stopperich helped the Georgia Bulldogs upset top-ranked Auburn with a great ride, scoring a 75.5, and defeating her Tiger opponent.
  • The next day, against UT Martin, she rode to the same score and earned MOP Honors.
  • Went 2-0 for the month

Reining Rider of the Month:

Keesa Luers, Texas A&M

  • Luers went a perfect 2-0 in Reining in March, including one Most Outstanding Performer recognition.
  • The sophomore started the month edging SMU's Chalyce Head on Moe, 74-73.
  • For her efforts, she earned her first career MOP honor.
  • Luers recorded her second win in the month defeating Oklahoma State's Hannah Lovrien on Uvalde, 76-74.5.
