Week 7: Baseball Players of the Week
Player of the Week: Fox Leum, Missouri
Missouri's Fox Leum led the SEC with a .636 batting average and nine RBI to help the Tigers to four wins last week. He sparked Mizzou to an 11-7 win with a go-ahead, 2-run home run against Illinois during the midweek, then he produced two 3-for-4 days with three RBI to help the Tigers to wins on Saturday and Sunday against South Carolina. Leum added his second homer of the week in the come-from-behind win on Saturday.
Pitcher of the Week and Freshman of the Week: Drew Beam, Tennessee
Tennessee's Drew Beam went the distance in Sunday's series finale at No. 3 Vanderbilt with the first complete game shutout by a UT pitcher since 2019. Beam allowed just two hits, faced one batter over the minimum and did not allow a single Commodore hitter to advance past first base for the entire game. He retired the last 16 batters he faced in the contest to help the Vols sweep the series.
