23 former SEC players on 2022 WNBA opening day rosters

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The WNBA opens the 2022 season today and 23 former SEC stars made WNBA opening day rosters.

South Carolina leads all SEC teams with six former players; Tennessee has five; LSU, Mississippi State and Texas A&M have two each; while Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Missouri, have one each.

Eleven WNBA teams have at least one former SEC player on their opening day roster.
